Nothing could cheer me up more than to have a Red-breasted Nuthatch appear at our back yard feeder this AM. I hope it will stick around for a while. Other birds that have shown up during this COLD spell are two White-crowned Sparrows. five White-throated Sparrows and one Song Sparrow .feeding with our regular winter visitors. If we hit the jackpocket we will also have a Towhee, Tree and Fox Sparrow before things warm up a bit.
Real Winter Cheers, Larry Gara, Wilmington
