Hi all,
Sorry for the tardy post. The group leader is having trouble posting.
On Monday morning, 5/7, Columbus Audubon led a group through Whetstone park in Columbus. Birds seen were:
Indigo Bunting
Cardinal
Catbird
Carolina Chickadee
Brown-headed Cowbird
Crow
BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO a lifer for most of the group including myself
Mourning Dove
Wood Duck 1 drake w/ 2 hens in a Sycamore
Great Egret (flyover)
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
Goldfinch
Common Grackle
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Cooper's Hawk
Blue Jay (nesting)
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
Red-breasted Nuthatch
White-breasted Nuthatch
Baltimore Oriole
Robin
House Sparrow
Song Sparrow
White-crowned Sparrow
White-throated Sparrow
Starling
Scarlet Tanager (many)
Swainson's Thrush
Titmouse
Veery
Blue-headed Vireo
Red-eyed Vireo
Warbling Vireo
Turkey Vulture
