Sorry for the late posting, but on Tuesday morning (3/11) at 11 a.m. we had
the following sightings:
Ring-necked duck
Hooded mergansers - 8M, 5F
Northern shovelers - 4M, 2F
Ring-billed gulls
Killdeer
Creagles
Great blue herons
Mallards
Canada geese
Red-winged blackbirds-singing
Song sparrows-singing
American pipits - 6 (As you turn into the park, they were on the west side
of the park road and the southwest side of Old Springfield searching through
the flood debris.)
Red-shouldered hawk on the south side of Old Springfield Rd. just across the
Stillwater River bridge was eating a squirrel on the ground along the side
of the road
Common mergansers - 2M at Main Park (nuttin else of consequence)
