Hello Birders,
Spring teasing is in the air over west central Ohio!!
Grand Lake St Marys is hosting many species of waterfowl!
Including:
Redbreasted Mergansers
Common Mergs
Hooded Mergs
Common Loons - as many as 8-10
Northern Shovelers
Buffleheads
L Scaup
Coot XXXXX
Bluewing Teal
Herring Gulls XXXXX
and the Ringbills have returned in #'s
Great Blue Herons are staking claim to nests
Killdeer XXX
We heard a Meadowlark!
Robins in great numbers all around the Lake
The Roughlegged Hawk is still hanging around
Redtails are abundant
Kestrels
Sandhill cranes flew over -- 20
Grebes - Horned, Eared and Pied Billed Big #'s for all 3
Oh, and the Double Crested Cormorants have returned ;-(
Great Horned Owl has owlets!
Bald Eagle nests - one has hatched (1 so far) and the other continues to
incubate
TVs have found the Mayors home again. And McDonald's in Celina.

Robins

Cooper's Hawk
Kestrel
Can Spring be far behind??
I'm certain I forgot some species - but you get the idea!!
