Yesterday afternoon at Lazelle Woods in the north end of Columbus I saw
the folowing warblers: American Redstart, Magnolia Warbler, Bay-Breasted
Warbler, Black and White Warbler, and Swainson's Warbler.
I wasn't going to post this since it's only 5 warblers but I understand
(maybe incorrectly) that the Swainson's Warbler is something of a rarity
around here. If any one is in the area and wants to stop by the park to
look for it, look in the stand of trees inside the loop trail in the
southwest corner of the park (immediately north of the rec center. I saw
the other warblers on the edge of the woods along the south side of the
loop trail.
If you live far away, please do not make a special trip to Lazelle Woods
to see the Swainson's Warbler as I am not 100% sure of my id.
