The morning began with the drumming and calling of the Pileated
Woodpecker in the front yard. It got better as the day unfolded with
a flock of pine siskins at the fountain and feeder. Approximately 14
+ stayed for the majority of the day. Downstairs we noticed many
Juncos & white-throated sparrows. Woodpeckers were plentiful in the
front yard with Red Bellied Woodpeckers, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers,
a pair of Flickers and WB Nuthatches. A splendid day for arm chair
birding here in Wakeman, Lorain County.
Happy birding
Dorothy
