I observed a flock of 13 White-winged Crossbills at the Lakewood Park
Cemetery
on Detroit Rd, in Rocky River.
The flock was mixed with 5 males included. I first spotted them in one
of the same hemlock
trees other Crossbills were feeding in on 11-30. At one point, the
flock moved to the base of a
birch tree and afforded some great views from a distance of 15'.
At Rocky River Park, the highlights included:
Common Goldeneye 9
Bufflehead 31
Hooded Merganser 2
See you on the trails,
Chris Pierce
