Birder friends reported 2 rare sightings today: a pair of common redpolls with the pine siskins at their backyard thistle feeder in Marion, and a Eurasian widgeon on Pond 3, Route 123, Killdeer Plains. Sure beats my nest-building Cooper's hawks at Inniswood in Columbus! Good birding. Pam Unger
