Birded a few areas around the reservoir today starting at area S:many Red
Breasted Nuthatches,downies,Titmice and a few quick glimpses of a Great
Horned Owl as it was being mobbed by crows and jays.A single Red Headed
Woodpecker at Mud Hen Marsh,also a great long look at a perched Coopers
Hawk.Waterfowl seen:
4 Bufflehead
20 Hooded and Red Breasted Mergansers
8 Ruddy Ducks
10 Coots
2 Pied-billed Grebe
2 Common Loon
6 Snow Geese (off Weisse Rd)
2 Gadwall
15 L.Scaup
also spotted a Mink by the Hoover Dam,pretty cool!
