When the rain let up, late this afternoon, I drove over to Ladu
Reservoir, to
see if yesterday's activity had continued. No sandhill cranes but
lots of ducks,.
Ruddy Ducks 16
Gadwalls 10 +
Common Mergansers 35
Hooded Mergansers 20
Northern Shovelers 4
Common Goldeneye 5
Buffleheads 3
Black Ducks 2
Mallards 50 plus
Also 1 pied-billed grebe
and at least 40 American coots
The usual 100 + Canada Geese.
A couple of Bonaparte's gulls, and the usual ring billed gulls.
Ran into Bonnie Fish while there and she had seen 2 Bald Eagles.
