Hello Everyone,
Today I checked out some spots along Route 23 as I made my way to Portsmouth from Columbus. The surprising thing was the overall lack of ducks. Stops@ Charlie's Pond in Pickaway County, Lake White in Ross County, and the flooded river bottoms around Portsmouth produced only a handful of ducks. These stops would normally produce hundreds of ducks this time of year. The highlight of the day was finding 4 Pectoral Sandpipers along Moore's Lane in Scioto County.
Good birding,
Brad Sparks
