In this morning's New York Times. leading the science section, is an
article on prodigious bird migrants--shorebirds like godwits, whimbrels,
turnstones, curlews, and Arctic terns. It contains more information than
the first gee-whiz published accounts of the studies involved in
learning about these amazing phenomena.
I'm sorry I don't have a Web link to this article; perhaps someone who
does could offer it to the list.
