We visited the site of the yellow-headed blackbird report, wetlands NE
of the corner of Darby Creek Dr and Kuhlwein Rd, SW Franklin Co. Routine
shorebirds were present: lesser yellowlegs, killdeer, spotted, solitary;
also soras calling. No yellow-heads, but of interest were three black
terns over the largest impoundment, maybe half a mile in from the
parking area. Anybody know if there's a barn owl in the barn across the
road? Reply privately if so.
