I only live about 10 minutes from this area, so I grabbed the binoculars and
headed out. I was able to relocate the Snowy Egret in the original place
sighted which was in the marshy area to the south of the car wash. Despite
the rain, I had a good look of this guy fishing. In addition to mallards in
the area, I found what I believed to be Common Pintails. I am still fairly
new at this, so a confirmation would be appreciated. I also have a link to a
picture attached. The quality isn't great, but maybe someone can tell from
that. www.flickr.com/photos/54181712@N07/5731041657/sizes/l/in/photostream/
Thanks,
Ron

This afternoon I got a tip from Bill Whan that John Watts found a Snowy
Egret this morning along Georgesville Rd. At 3pm I had the bird in the pond
S of the car wash on Norton Rd just S of Georgesville Rd. The bird then
flew to the pond in the apartment complex NW of the corner of Norton Rd and
Georgesville Rd. Check Google maps before you go; there are several other
candidate ponds in the area. Photos are on my flickr site:

Good birding,
