Greetings all -
At 4 p.m. this evening (Sunday), a fantastic group of 15 WILLETS were resting along the Lorain impoundment shoreline, near a flock of 100+ Ring-billed Gulls. Also present were Lesser and Greater Yellowlegs, Dunlin (3), Semipalmated and Least Sandpipers (up to 30 of the latter), Short-billed Dowitcher (6), Spotted Sandpiper, and Killdeer. Additionally, a pair of Common Moorhens successfully raised four young at this location, which are fairly regularly seen, with patience, in the NW corner of the impoundment.
