Saturday, Ed and Keith Schlabach, Tim Hochstetler and I did a local big day, here in Holmes, Wayne, Ashland, Knox and Coshocton Counties. Our total of 169 was the highest we have recorded in this area. 31 warblers, 14 shorebirds and 11 ducks helped the total. Best birds were a female Ruff (different bird than the one here last week) at Wright Marsh (Killbuck Marsh Wildlife Area), Common Raven at the Knox location, and Least Bittern.
