Things started out good with a lot of herring gulls heading overhead to the
west. I was able to pick out a few decent gulls, Iceland, glaucous, and
lesser black-backed. Around 8:30 the gulls switched over to mainly
ring-billed. Gull numbers increased, but a lot fewer herring and no more
white-winged gulls. Very few waterfowl, but off and on snow showers made
watching the lake next to impossible.
