Fellow inland birders,
Made a swing past Buckeye lake this morning, along with Vicki Derr.
We found one *Lesser Black backed Gull* sitting on the ice with about 100
ring billed gulls. It was toward the Eastern end of the lake viewable from
the Heron Bay Development. This is a County first for us. Hope you
Buckeye lake birders will get out to see (confirm) this one.
Also got a Dark Morph Red tailed Hawk along Honey creek road just past
the Wild Wing sign. It was being harassed by Crows along the edge of a
large empty field on the south side of the road. This was also a first.
Have never seen one of these in the East.
To cap things off, got a Brown Thrasher on Stone Quarry Road off RT
13, North of Somerset.
