The aforementioned whooping crane is NOT a whooping crane. I was within
150 yards of this bird and it was definitely a Leuciseic Sandhill Crane,
the size and color were classic, no black on wing. There is absolutely no
question this is a Sandhill Crane, not a Whooping Crane.
