I was at the Avon Lake Power Plant today from 3:15 - 3:45. 3 paddle
boarders were there, they went all the way out to the farthest ice shelf
scaring away many birds.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] White-winged Scoter masses at Avon Lake Power PLant
I've attempted to document some of the scoter throng habitating power
plant in Avon, today.
These photos can be seen at: http://northnw.wordpress.com/
The dark blobs are scoters - 121 was my high
count this morning. This brutal, sustained winter throughout the Great
Lakes has definitely made for some abnormal avian action locally. Also,
included are a shot of two (of the six) Red-necked Grebes present, and a
shameless male Canvasback.
