Daytonites (Daytonians?) Huffman Prairie June 7, they are looking for
volunteers to help with overseeding an area. And/or bring a shovel and
help control invasive thistle. Don't have time details, I got this from
a man I saw out there today working on digging up thistle. He is with
the Metro Parks, apparently they help maintain the Prairie. I will add
time info when I get it, i couldn't find it on the Metro Park website.
Saw a Bobolink out there today and thought I saw a Lincoln's Sparrow but
now think it might have been a Vesper Sparrow, (sigh) in the area where
the Clay-colored sparrow was reported.
