I stopped by for a few hours this morning, and found summer still hanging on, with few migrants. Stops at New Galena area and the beach & Visitors Center yielded the following highlights:
Vultures - at least 1 Black Vulture was in with 15 Turkey Vultures near the beach
Gulls&Terns - only 5 Caspian Terns were with the 400+ Ring-billed Gulls on the beach (along with 4 Herring Gulls)
Flycatchers - not much movement yet, with 3 Wood Pewees around the Visitor's Center and 1 E.Kingbird at New Galena
Swallows - no movement at all, with only a handful of Barn Swallows
