I went to Sims Park last weekend and couldn't find anything different. Today I went around 1:50pm and found two female Black Scoters far east of pier, few Horned Grebe, Bonaparte's Gulls, few hundred Red-breasted Mergansers and two different groups of Common Goldeneye (approx. 77) from the bluff at the east end of the park. So I decided to walk back to my car taking the scenic route along the asphalt path west of the pier and when I got near the wooden picnic pavilion noticed with my binoculars a very large, medium brown warm colored duck mostly sleeping with the Common Goldeneye that was no female Goldeneye. I could tell it looked like the same female King Eider seen a few weeks ago. After putting a scope on it - it eventually lifted up its head and you could tell by the head and bill shape what it was. There were a few rolling waves.
