A steamy, early morning bird hike with Karin Tanquist on the Cross-country and the Lake trails at Kendall Lake in the CVNP yielded 40 species. Some nice migrants were among five species of warblers, four species of vireos, and a somewhat early Ruby-crowned Kinglet. Highlights below.
Black-and-white Warbler--1
Tennessee Warbler--1
Blackburnian Warbler--3
Yellow Warbler--1
Chestnut-sided Warbler--1
Yellow-throated Vireo--1
Blue-headed Vireo--1
Warbling Vireo--3
Red-eyed Vireo--4
