All I can say is that there used to be a small population of 3 to
4 Eurasian Collared-Doves in Kidron (Wayne County), but there seems to be
only one bird remaining. I believe there was at least one successful
nesting, but I don't know any details about it. I have not observed this
species anywhere else in Ohio. I'm not convinced ECDOs are going to "take
over" the northeast like everyone is predicting. And if they do, I
wouldn't be surprised if they are not a problem to native species.
