About 7:30pm yesterday, while I was out "gardening" I heard soft nuthatch-like calls, looked at the crabapple tree
and counted 7 Nuthatches circling the branches. Watching, one of the just fledged young went in a knot hole and came
out several times. The adult then flew to the sunflower feeder and the six young followed, all flying, dipping & rising, perching on the shrubs surrounding the feeder, still calling. What an experience.
