I birded at Conneaut harbor today from 6:40 AM till 12:40 PM. It was pretty slow early on, but things picked up as the morning went on. Shorebirds were moving until noon, I ended up with 10 species (again). Highlights were: 12 wood ducks, double-crested cormorants, 4 green herons, 20 bald eagles, 4 Am. avocets, 3 semipalmated plovers, whimbrel, sanderling, least sandpipers, semipalmated sandpipers, short-billed dowitcher, spotted sandpipers, lesser yellowlegs, Caspian tern, Forster's tern, red-headed woodpecker, e. kingbird, purple martin, bank swallows, and yellow warblers.
