I was at Swine Creek today, hovering around hoping to get a glance at the fugitive partridge hanging around at the feeders. Too much activity, with park personnel coming and going, but I was probably more pleased to have a very good view, of a very late white eyed vireo poking through a brush pile off the parking lot. A bird I don't see often, and certainly not the last day of
November. Bright strong yellow rear underparts, and then a clear view of the distinctive yellow spectacles.
