Arrived at Summit Lake Towpath Trailhead around 4 pm to check for ducks. A raft of divers was at the north end of the Lake near the Community Center just south of I-76/77. A plethora of coots, a single Pied-Billed Grebe, about 15 Red Head ducks. Also saw 2 small groups of Ruddy Ducks, one group with 4 individuals, the other with 3. Many mallards and Canada Geese. Nice afternoon to get out of the house, do some birding and stroll to the south end of the lake and back. Highlight: a pair of Northern Shovelers
