Cool temps made for a pleasant outing.
Got nice views of my FOS Bobolink, a lovely male.
Pretty much the same birds I had the other day: Willow FCs, Sedge Wrens, E Meadowlarks, Tree Swallows, E Kingbirds (quite vocal), catbird, Com YTs. Only shorebird was killdeer. Hoping for Blue Grosbeaks soon.
A small birding group was there as well as folks in waders doing some kind of field work. A net has been placed in the pond near the school.
Was pleased to see 2 E Phoebes in my yard today. I’ve heard them nearby but this was the first time I’ve seen them on my property.
