The Marie Hickey trail was pleasant walking but extremely quiet bird wise.
Dillon was more productive. There wasn’t much at the spillway area although at the lowest parking lot, I got my killdeer for the day as well as some bluebirds checking out the nest boxes there. An immature bald eagle flew over.
At the beach, There were lots of ring-billed gulls and while I did not scan them carefully, I did not see anything that caught my interest.
There were 15 to 20 common mergansers there which was nice. At the marina, I picked up a good assortment of ducks including my FOS Green-winged teal hauled out on a rock. One female Com Goldeneye, 3 Bufflehead (2 males, one female). Good numbers of Ring-necked, Scaup, Redhead, Canvasback, Ruddies.
