I wanted to thank everyone for all the advice and emails I received! I love it up
There on the lakeshore! I was disappointed I couldn’t track down a Saw whet.
I figured I would get that. And not the roaming Grosbeaks! My crappy hearing
Not helping with flyovers……
Well, that’s why we get out there. You never know! Andrew called and said
Three Evening Grosbeaks back at that spot today! Great! I was wondering
If they would return there. Yes! Good luck all! I will be on a hunt for Box Elders
Down here. Although hopefully they come to the Rowe woods feeders let’s say.

I just love gull flocks. I was scanning what I could for Iceland - I still need that for
The state. Looking at all the Bonie flocks for Little. No success. It stayed in
Lake county……..
I hit a few new counties for the map. Give me four more years or so and I will have
All the counties filled in. Ebird has done me in……

Why did I end up on Lake Erie? Long story…… A very rare bird showed up in my
County in NJ. I had to chase! Even though I was texted it had left Friday at noon. I
Was mulling it over all afternoon at work. The bird probably was gone. But I had to
Try. What if it showed up someplace close by Sat. Morning? So I left Friday night.
Stopped in Washington, pa. Bird was not seen Sat. Morning. So I went north and
West! The bird is being kept quiet for a bit at the homeowners request. Ask me
In a month what this first state record was. Sigh….!

Nature notes - it’s too warm.

Good birding all. I will chase the east fork, Clermont snow bunting if refound
Monday, else catching up down here!
