Probably my first slow day. Although butterflies and odes! And me without
My camera…..it comes Thursday now!
Mary C. joined me for most of my day.
Salamander Run metro park - field birds. Quiet in the woods. Chats,
Bluebirds, etc. no Henslows! This is where I got lucky with Grasshopper
Sparrow. I need to get lucky with Henslows!
Miami University bird blind - slow. We didn’t make it to the bird blind area -
The path was closed for paving. Hit the creek path.
Great Miami River - low level dam. Corms and a Bank Swallow. This will be
A spot for fall migration. River watching. I am missing sooooo much!
Brate warehouse pond - Ellis area. Dead. Except I talked with a fellow birder
Who had the Dunlin today. And another birder who didn’t! Where do those
Birds go……. As far as I know, nothing else around. Obviously I am wrong.
Nature notes - Dun skipper at Salamander.
Good birding all.
