You've been bitten by a small bug in NEWS. We installed a new version of
NEWS on OCEAN a couple of weeks ago to try to fix a problem we were having.
This new version had a small bug that set the system to show only new
messages. This bug has been fixed, but the damage caused still exists for
some people.

To fix the problem, issue the command: SET PROFILE/DISPLAY=ALLITEMS from
within NEWS.
