                  *** OCEAN information workshop ***
                  ************************************

Do you want more information about OCEAN?
Do you have some pesky Fortran code that you can't get to
       compile on OCEAN?
Do you want to know more about the changes OCEAN will have on
       VAX users?
Do you want to know how you can use OCEAN this semester?
Do you want to know what is different between VMS and OpenVMS?
Do you want to know how OCEAN compares to various other
       systems around campus?
Do you want to know the answer to life, the universe, and
       everything?

If you answered "YES" to any of the above questions (except the last one),
MCIS invites you to attend a one-on-one discussion and workshop devoted
completely to OCEAN - Miami's new OpenVMS Alpha computer system. This
workshop will be held in 2 Hughes between 2:00PM and 4:00PM on Wednesday,
April 6, 1994 and everyone from OpenVMS novices to OpenVMS experts are
encouraged to attend.

By the way, OCEAN is a computer system running OpenVMS (just like MIAVX1)
that is based on the DEC Alpha Chip. The DEC Alpha Chip is a super-scalar,
super-pipelined, RISC chip that provides incredible computing speed. The
OCEAN system is currently running in parallel with the VAX system and
will replace the VAX system after this semester.

P.S. If you can't make this session, there is another one scheduled for
Thursday, April 14, 1994, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM in 2 Hughes.
