FTP space in individual accounts is determined by each account's disk
quota. Accounts are created with a default disk quota of 1,000 blocks,
or roughly 0.5 Mb. The disk quota is shared by all files in the account,
including all mail, data files, files made available for World Wide Web
access in the account's [.WWW] subdirectory, files made available for
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) access in the [.Public] subdirectory, etc.
Requests for increased disk quotas can be made by contacting the Help
Desk by e-mail at [log in to unmask] or by phone at 529-7900.
The task of organizing collective downloading space on MiaVX1 has not yet
been fully confronted :-) so as yet there is no general disk quota
allocation for a centrally supported /pub directory.
