Dear Monica,
 
The sentence diagrams you are asking about are probably of the Reed and
Kellogg variety.  A current more or less traditional grammar using this
diagram system is Martha Kolln's "Understanding English Grammar," now in
its fourth edition (Macmillan, 1994).
