Student lab workers* needed for Bach 346 -- Pay starts at $6 per hour. -- You’ll work 4 or 5 hours per week -- mostly on weekends -- during semester On the job you will -- Supervise open lab times TBA during the weekends -- Be in charge of routine maintenance of the computer lab -- Report any major technical difficulties to the faculty and technicians -- Keep the computer desktops clean and standardized (same screensavers, clock settings, trash icon available on desktop, etc.) -- Keep computer folders clear of documents and other material that should be stored in student Universal Disk Space. -- Clean unauthorized programs and files out of the computers. -- Keep lab desks and other surfaces clear of clutter. --ß Keep all screens and mice clean. -- Contact the housekeeping staff if anything major needs cleaned (for example, if something is spilled on the carpet). -- Be sure the printer is functioning well and that it has paper. -- Compile and keep binders of instructions for all programs on the computers -- Teach relevant journalism software (QuarkXPress, VisualPage, PhotoShop) etc. to lab users as needed -- Reinstall computer software as needed. -- Report any major problems -- Do other relevant work as requested by faculty and technicians Apply to Judi Hetrick in Bachelor 360 ASAP! *Qualified work-study students will get preference in hiring
