Just got this question from someone walking into my office but I tought it
might be useful for others to be aware of:
 
    Q)  How do I get to my acquired space when I FTP into MIAVX1 or OCEAN?
 
    A)  The logical name TEMP: points to your acquired space.  Logical
names such as these can usually be specified with or without the colon on
the end.  For example, either of the following commands will change
directory into your acquired space when logged on interactively:
 
    $ CD TEMP
 or $ CD TEMP:
 
FTP, though, requires the colon on the end of the logical name.  Therefore,
in FTP, the command to get to your acquired space is:
 
    FTP> cd temp:
 
BTW, this also applies to any other logical name that may be defined.  For
example, to get back to your login directory, use the following command:
 
    FTP> cd sys$login:
