It sounds like you may have a corrupted NEWSRC.;1 file. Issue the following command: $ RENAME NEWSRC.;1 NEWSRC.OLD;1 This will rename your NEWSRC.;1 so that the next time you get into NEWS, it will create a new file. I've gotten reports that NEWS on OCEAN doesn't do as good of a job checking for out of diskquota problems. This could account for the corruption (but only if you're using OCEAN).
