But they don't teach them in an extensive way.  Nor do they use
them as a foundation for integrated grammar curriculum that
continues through higher grades.

I recall a going as far as as count, mass, abstract, and concrete
nouns, and auxiliary verbs in another context.  But even these
seem like they were a very brief mentioning.

I don't think that grammar is a systematic part of the curriculum,
like arithmetic, bio, etc.  Or if it is, then hey! we've won!
