Rebecca,
I apologize for taking so long to respond to your kind words about
me in the last issue of Syntax. I started the newsletter (so many years
ago) because I thought I had things to say about the teaching of grammar
-- and no publications would accept such articles. The situation has
changed, thanks in part to the many people who support ATEG. I
appreciate your taking over as editor, Dave's taking over as Treasurer,
and Michael's taking over as webmaster. Because of all of you, I can now
devote more of my time to developing and explaining more of my own
ideas. I hope ATEG continues to grow.
Sincerely,
Ed Vavra
