I would like to thank all of the people who have requested information on
scholarships available through Newport Asia Pacific University. I am still
trying to answer your individual questions one by one and will eventually
get back to each of you. Please be patient as I have a number of
responsibilities in addition to working with the scholarship division. For
the time being, we have put up on the website an application and the
requirements for all sixty scholarships available. The details are on the
web and a number of these scholarships can be applied to the M.S. in TESOL,
the MA in Teaching Japanese as a Foreign Language (TJFL), the Master of
International Business and the M.S. in International Communications degree
programs. To access the information, you can go to
http://www.asiapacificu.edu On the bottom right hand corner of the
homepage, click on "NAPU scholarships". There, you should be able to find
all of the information you need to know.

In addition, a number of people have been confused. The Master degree
program for which scholarships are available were designed and are taught
by Professor David Nunan through NAPU. The TEFL certification programs
through the Tokyo Language Arts College were designed by Professor Jack C.
Richards and can be accessed at http://www.distance-learning.org However,
PLEASE NOTE that scholarship programs are not available through the Tokyo
Language Arts College.

Once again, thanks to all of you who are interested, and I will be
responding to each of you in the order in which your messages were
received.

Cordially,

Dave Povinsky
