In case you didn't see it, the latest issue of the Journal of Basic  
Writing has two articles on the teaching of grammar.  Margaret Rustic  
writes "Grammar Games in the Age of Anti-Remediation," and Leif Fern  
and Nancy Farnan write "When is a Verb? Using Functional Grammar to  
Teach Writing."  Rustic quotes Martha Kolln, and both quote Rei Noguchi.

Two articles in one issue,  Does that make a trend?
