Dear Students,
Some of you have spoken with me about registering for required classes in
EDT. If you are having unresolved problems with registering for the Middle
Childhood Content Block or need EDT 246A and cannot register, please email
me the SPECIFICS of your situation before Friday at 10am at
[log in to unmask] DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL.
I do mean SPECIFICS. It is not sufficient to tell me it is inconvenient for
you to take a certain section at a given time. Your problem needs to be
that either you could not get in becasue they were full, or you have a
COMPELLING issue requiring you to take a particular section. Compelling
means, for example, you are a single parent and must be present to get your
child on a bus, or you work to pay your way through college and you will
either lose your job/and or have to leave school.
Please be as specific as you can with me so I can advance your case when I
collaborate with my EDT colleagues on Friday.
Remember, many of us have to change our schedues in ways we don't like for
a semester, or take classes at times that are inconvenient so let's not go
there. If you are a person who MUST work to survive or have someother
significant circumstance, as some of you have explained to me, these are
the ones I can present.
As for EDT 246A, these may be transfer students or change of major students
who would be held back by taking a field block or have already taken EDL
318, etc.
Thank you!
MKE
