There is volunteer opportunity for you to work with a person with a TBI in
the area. There is a Miami student who has a sibling that has recently been
diagnosed with a TBI. A Miami student and her family are looking for
volunteers to assist in taking care of her sibling, Matty. Matty is 19
years old. Some of his interests include anime, drawing, and playing
kinesthetic games. For those interested in working with people with
disabilities, this would be a great opportunity to experience what it's
like to work with someone who is recovering from a traumatic brain
injury. Matty
is improving fairly quickly and it would be a unique experience to be a
part of the recovery process. The family is looking for volunteers
available any day of the week for any amount of time from 7 am-7pm,
beginning in January 2017. Please contact Jackie Karkiewicz at 513-544-8309 for
more details.
