Dear Students,

Please read this email carefully for important announcements:

1. If you are a freshman or sophomore choosing to remain in the
MILD-MODERATE SINGLE LICENSE program, there will be some incorrect
requirements on your DAR. Please see Molly Kelly for questions about this.
It is completely "fixable" so there is no need to worry.
One thing of immediate importance: EDP 486 now replaces two classes on
your DAR, EDP 472 and EDP 454. EDP 486 is called: Methods I, Mild-Moderate
Needs. It should be taken before the new EDP 491, Methods II,
Mild-Moderate, if at all possible.
EDP 486 is being offered online this summer, and will be offered again in
the spring of 2018.

2. If you are choosing to opt into the NEW dual licensure Mild-Moderate AND
Moderate-Intensive program, we have a new advising sheet available. Molly
Kelly is happy to answer questions. DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL. Please
email her at [log in to unmask]

3. If you are a student registering for the Middle Childhood Content
Integration Block classes in the fall (EDT 346M, EDT 436 and EDT 442M)
please note:
You will NOT be able to register for EDT 442M. Please send Molly your
name, banner plus # and the section and CRN of the class you want. You will
be added to the class manually by EDT. EDP 491 is meant to be taken with
this block if possible.

4. Juniors and Seniors - TESTING REQUIREMENTS for obtaining an Ohio
 license -
You will need to take Ohio Assessments for Educators #004 and #043 along
with the new reading test, #090. (*If you plan to obtain your license
before July 1, 2017 you do not HAVE to take the reading test.*)
Students are ready to take those tests when they have completed both junior
year blocks.
If you plan to leave the state of Ohio to teach, go to the State Department
of Education website for your state of interest and search for new license
OR transferring a license OR prepared our of state.
