*Come learn about the Belize Winter 2017 program!*
Technology and Language: A Global Perspective
A program especially designed for Education majors
*December 30th - January 15th in Belize*
*Three pre-departure sessions in Oxford during Fall 2016 semester.*
- Immerse yourself in everyday life in Caye Caulker, an island off the
coast of Belize
- Fulfill your Miami Global Plan Requirement
- Complete six (6) Miami credits
- EDP 443: Technology in Education (can be used to complete thematic
sequence with EDP 279 and one additional course)
- EDT 221: Teaching English Language Learners (can be used to
complete TELLs certificate)
- Volunteer and work closely with the three local schools: pre-school,
elementary, and high school
- Volunteer to tutor English as a Second Language (ESL) adults in the
community
- Visit Mayan ruins in the mainland
- Snorkel the barrier reef of Belize
- Meet the members of the Ministry of Education
- Etc.
*Attend one of two informational meetings:*
*Thursday, April 7th, 4-5pm - meet in McGuffey 2nd floor Commons*
*Monday, April 18th, 7-8pm - meet in McGuffey 2nd floor Commons*
