Students, if you are getting an Ohio license this summer or next summer, in
addition to the two Ohio Assessments for Educators (#s 004 and 043), you
will need to take a reading test. Here is the information:

Foundations of Reading, test #090, qualifying score 220

All new educator licenses issued on or after July 1, 2017, for Early
Childhood (grades PK-3), Middle Childhood (Grades 4-9), Early Childhood
Intervention Specialist (PK-3) and Intervention Specialist: Mild/Moderate
Needs (grades K-12) Moderate/Intensive Needs (grades K-12), Gifted (grades
K-12), Hearing Impaired (grades PK-12), Visually Impaired (grades PK-12) *shall
require the applicant to attain a passing score on an examination of
reading instruction*.
