Subject: Volunteer opportunity: May 10, 2014 in West Chester, OH
To: Jason Abbitt <[log in to unmask]>

Hello everyone,

I've mentioned this to several of you in conversations, but below is some
info about an event that I've been involved in planning for May 10 at
Lakota West High School in West Chester. Please pass this along to any
students or others that you know who might be interested in a service
opportunity.

*About the event: http://freethrowsforkids.org
<http://freethrowsforkids.org>*
The event is a team free-throw shooting event in which teams will shoot 500
free throws, on May 10th (2-5 pm) at Lakota West High School, to raise
money for every kid & their family in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit
(PICU) at Cincinnati Children's Hospital. The money raised will be used to
show love & hope by surprising these families with gift baskets that
include gas cards for the many trips to and from the hospital, cafeteria
gift cards for the day-after-day meals at the cafeteria, toiletries, Dream
Dinner frozen meals for family members at home, professional house cleaning
and more. These simple responsibilities, we take for granted, become a big
challenge and these families need help. Thru Free Throws For Kids, we are
making a positive impact on the amount of time a family can spend together.

*Volunteer Info and Signup:* http://goo.gl/b7NaKs
Volunteers will be able to signup for a variety of jobs on the day of the
event. Job descriptions are provided on the page linked above.

*Post-event social:*
After the event, all participants and volunteers are welcome to invited the
post-event social at Rib City Grill (12183 Springfield Pike, Cincinnati, OH
45246).

Many thanks for your help in spreading the word about the event and
(hopefully) gathering some additional volunteer support...

Thanks,
jta
